Opening Up to Change

Oct 7, 2016 | KSA Interiors

When we recently rebranded KSA Interiors with the tagline “Create Change,” there were a number of moving parts and pieces still stirring below the surface that had yet to click into place.

Today we are ready to share some of the changes that will help us create change in the most positive sense for our clients and the KSA Interiors team.

For starters, we have committed to a more operational focus for the company. The upshot will be a less compartmentalized organization, which we’re confident will further unleash our creative potential while providing a more seamless, consistent customer experience.

Driving this fresh focus will be a change in leadership at KSA Interiors. President, Founder and CEO Kim Schoenadel will be stepping away from her role as president of the company. And we’re proud to announce that Sara Lasseter, who began at the company as an intern 18 years ago, has been named the new president of KSA Interiors.

“I’m excited to see how Sara brings KSA Interiors to the next level,” Kim said. “She has the rare combination of interpersonal communication savvy and design sense to evolve our culture into the foundation of our success.”

In addition to this new operational thrust and leadership transition, you may also see some subtle tweaks to job titles and our overall structure, as we strive to build a flatter, more collaborative organization.

“I’m extremely humbled by the opportunity,” Sara said of her new role. “Having worked here in a wide range of capacities has given me the gift of getting to know employees and clients across the spectrum. I feel that I understand the heart of KSA Interiors. This is what keeps us passionate and drives us to serve others daily.”

After joining KSA Interiors as an intern leading 3D visualizations, Sara took on a number of roles with escalating responsibility over the past two decades, including working as a designer (project and senior), serving as an onsite project manager, leading CAD management initiatives in the design studio and being a vital member of the KSA Interiors leadership team.  Now Sara looks forward to embracing the company’s theme of “what matters” as it applies to employee engagement, creating designs that transform the user experience and exploring new markets.

“In the same way that Kim’s mentorship has enabled so many of our employees to become successful, I also welcome the chance to bring out the best in others,” Sara added.

The “Create Change” tagline was developed as an aspirational rallying cry encouraging the KSA Interiors team and clients to act dynamically and to think beyond established design norms. We believe that with these changes in place, KSA Interiors is best suited to deliver innovative interior design solutions to our clients like never before.

We thank you for your business and your friendship over the years. And we look forward to creating positive change in your environments for years to come.
